If I could leave more than 5 stars I would ! This is our 5th stay here , as always we were made to feel totally at home by the lovely Tam and her husband Des. The hotel is immaculate, rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Food is just out of this world , lots of choice and totally delicious. We will definitely be back for a 6th stay soon. We couldn't have asked for a warmer or more friendly welcome from Wes, Tam and their staff. The cream tea went down very nicely. It was our first time staying here, but it won't be our last. The hotel is spotless and well run, with almost an intimate B&B feel to it and nothing was too much trouble. We decided to eat in for the couple of evenings we were there and we were so glad we did. The food was amazing, with Wes being a very accomplished chef. The morning breakfasts were the perfect way to set you up for the day, with plenty of options. We hope to be back soon.

Tremarne is a warm andwelcoming hotel. The owners and staff make everyone feel mattered as a guest. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The daily breakfasts and evening meals (served Fri to Mon) are of excellent standard to match any 5* hotel or restaurant. As a single traveller I felt at ease within the environment that they had created. Bedrooms are spotless as are the rest of the facilities. I will return. Thank you all

Would highly recommend if visiting Mevagissy area. Wes, Tam and staff are all very welcoming. Our room was very good, with everything we needed. Wes’s cooking was excellent especially evening meals Friday to Monday.

We've had a great couple of days here couldn't find fault with anything from an extremely comfortable bed, brilliant breakfast for which there was a great selection and a lovely evening meal. Our hosts were lovely and we will be returning.

A well run hotel with bright clean, comfortable and very well equipped rooms. Breakfast was excellent and we had a good evening meal there too. The hotel is in a good quiet position, off the main road and very near the coastal footpaths. Lovely staff too.

We have just spent a night celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Tremarne Hotel. What a glorious spot, overlooking the coast and the valley. We had such a warm welcome from Tam. She showed us to our room, clean, comfortable and modern with everything you need for a hotel break. Our room was upgraded as Tam had seen it was our anniversary. We had comfortable seating in the bay window looking over the countryside and it was so peaceful. Then we had a complimentary cream tea in the sun on the terrace. Such a lovely, family run hotel. The kindness and friendliness goes beyond what we expected. The hotel did evening meals on the weekend. We decided to book a table and the food was delicious. Great choices and prices including the bar prices. Breakfast was part of the package another delicious meal with so many choices and all local produce. Wes, is a talented chef and it showed in the meals that he produced for us. We will be recommending a visit to our family and friends and would love to return soon. A big thank you for a lovely short break.

Superb stay. Welcomed with a fantastic cream tea. Room was completely comfortable with beautiful views. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was outstanding with an enormous choice. The owners attention to detail and to our needs made us feel utterly spoilt and incredibly welcome. Thank you so much.

Warm and friendly welcome, comfortable stay and great breakfast!

We were greeted with the friendliest greeting we have ever had. That was a great first impression which was soon followed with a superb complementary cream tea. The room had lovely views of the Cornish coast and fields and was immaculate. The whole hotel was very tastefully decorated and along with ample parking and being only a short walk into Mevagissey, it was perfect for us.We will definitely be going back - thank you.

We found the hotel to be extremely clean and comfortable and the decor was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Being Coeliac I was very appreciative of the gluten free options on the menu and the complimentary scones on arrival were delicious.

Arrived as two very wet cyclists and had very friendly welcome. All our wet gear dried for us and lovely food. Residents lounge was particularly lovely - light airy and spacious.

What a great three day stay to celebrate my wife's 80 th birthday.We and other members of the family were spoilt by the owners of the hotel who went above and beyond to make our stay , and the food was fantastic from breakfast to our evening meals . We highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Mevagissey in Cornwall.

As well as lovely view from my room, a pool and a guest lounge I didn’t want to leave!Just 10Minutes walk down into the charming harbour the short cut steps through the park down the hill on the right were a great help!Looking forward to my next visit thank you

Clean rooms, great breakfast. Enjoyed the bar in the evening and the owners made us feel very welcome. 10 mins walk down the hill into the lovely harbour.

A very comfortable experience in a warm environment.

Just had 2 nights staying here and have to say the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Also gave us a cream tea on arrival which was a nice touch. Our room was clean and spacious and had a very comfy bed. We also had a lovely view across the pool and out to sea. The breakfast was delicious with very good quality ingredients

We are hiking the South West Coast Path and stayed at Tremarne Hotel for one night. We have to say we have achieved 100% satisfaction. We don’t usually give a review like this, but the stay is really perfect. From the moment we stepped into the hotel to the excellent dinner and breakfast we feel the attention to detail. The quality of service exceeded our expectation. We would definitely stay here next time we pass Mevagissy.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the Tremarne hotel for a short weekend break in mevagissey. We were impressed by all the staff who were all very friendly and welcoming. Also great location as mevagissey is only a short 10 / 15 minute walk away. Would recommend.

We’ve stayed in many, many hotels but none better than this. Tamsin & her entire team are friendly, efficient, helpful & professional. The hotel is spotless & comfortable & the food is fantastic. We loved every minute of our stay. We will definitely return.

5 stars for the food, as good as you can get, the staff are helpful, respectful and courteous, the room was comfortable and clean, the bar is not huge but there is a good choice of drinks and lots of space in the TV lounge, would I go there again? if travelling to that part of the world YES.

This is an excellent b and b hotel. It is sparkling clean, the staff are very approachable and friendly and efficientBreakfast is fantastic and the evening meals are amazingCan’t rate this place highly enough

Very well organised and synchronised throughout.Happy atmosphere, very satisfied guests.Nice touches like the complementary cornish cream tea on arrival plus the chocolate orange in the room.Food was excellent, perhaps a little light on the vegetables. Book early for your dining time.Breakfast was varied and plentiful. You need to book your breakfast time slot early if you need an earlier start but the owners are flexible and accommodating.Room 3 had double aspect windows with views across the valley and over the rooftops to the sea in the distance.It's sometimes better to leave the village via Portmellon, rather than risk the lottery of getting through mevagissey village! This isn't a huge detour to be honest. I'd certainly stay here again.

Loved our stay here. Friendly and welcoming from the get go, spotlessly clean room with a lovely view. Box of orange matchmakers on the bed and really nice complimentary soap/shampoo and conditioner. Nice hot shower and lovely breakfasts with lots of good choices. Defintely be back!

Our second year at this lovely location and managed to book the Portmellon suite which is a large room with sofa and en-suite +balcony with sea views.The room was lovely and clean,and had very comfortable bed.We are looking forward to our next visit.Fabulous food and a lovely welcome by the host and the team.

We enjoyed a happy weekend break with our two teens. Genuinely warm and friendly welcome from Tam and tasty surprise cream tea on arrival which was much appreciated. The hotel is well cared for and exceptionally clean and tidy. We appreciated the kettle and drinks sachets, biscuits and box of chocolates on our bed.All staff genuinely seemed to care that we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights and all agreed the food was excellent. We'd happily stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this warm and welcoming hotel to others.

The place is good for the connection with the SWCP,which allows me to get on track with the hike with no dramas, with lots of options for dining near the harbour,the hotel itself has became an pioneer link to connect the catering network around within the Mevagissey area.The in house breakfast are great with fit my dietary requirements.... Great. 👍🏻The room is decent and clean, had a great rest in overall. Thanks for the heavy tea bags to keep me awake on hike to Par.😂

My wife and I really enjoyed our two nights stay at the hotel. The hotel is really well located for walking intoMevagissey and is just off the Coastal Path. All of the staff were so nice and helpful. The food and the room were both lovely. We will certainly return and would recommend to friends and family

We stayed for 3 nights and was made most welcome by Tam and Wes.The hotel is in a great location for Mevagissey, although a step hull to get up and down to the village.The hotel is presented lovely and very clean. The room was all you need and has fantastic views over the sea.The breakfast was all you could want and the cooked breakfast was lovely.Such a good feel about the hotel and would highly recommend.

We were made so welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners Tam and Wes. They are both always smiling and keen to give us the best stay in their hotel.The rooms are all very clean and nice touches are chocolates, toiletries and bottles of water.The food! It is amazing! Wes is a brilliant chef and everyone in the restaurant was commenting on their delicious meals. Presentation is excellent too. One evening Wes cooked me something different to the menu as I am a fussy eater. Tam does her part by checking everyone is happy and serving people promptly.The hotel has a lovely family appeal with their young son walking in and out of the restaurant chatting to the guests.Would I recommend this hotel? 100% I would!

A very well run hotel by a friendly and welcoming couple in Tamsin & Wes.The hotel is situated in a lovely position with sea views and a short walk to Mevagissey. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable as was the rest of the hotel. A cream tea on arrival and bottled water in our room was very thoughtful, these lovely touches are appreciated. The delicious breakfast was plentiful and varied and the steak we had for an evening meal was cooked to perfection also the sticky toffee pudding was the best! We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Tremarne again, a happy and relaxing place run by a hard working couple and their team. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

We were welcome by Tam one of the owners who helped us carry our luggage to our room and offered a a complimentary cream tea, which was delicious.The room/bathroom were very clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the surrounding hills. The breakfasts, dinners and evening snack meals were delicious and prepared by Wes, Tam's husband. This industrious couple were very friendly, approachable and helpful. The location is good and the walk to Mevagissey enjoyable and not too challenging. A very enjoyable few days and we will stay there again when next in the area. Thank you.

Our stay at the Tremarne Hotel was without doubt one of the most enjoyable we have ever experienced. From the welcoming scones with jam and cream, through our enjoyment of the location, the facilities and the excellent meals, and to the highest quality service and attention by the owners and their staff...a 10 in every category! We loved everything about out this gorgeous Hotel/ Bed & breakfast. On arrival we had a beautiful welcome from Tam & enjoyed scones & clotted cream with tea. Our room was so spacious & had an amazing views. Our breakfast was delicious with heaps of choices. . It’s only a ten minute walk down into the Mevagissey town & harbour, we would definitely stay here again when visiting Cornwall.

We had a super stay, we felt like we were in 5 star accommodation.The food was delicious, nothing was too much trouble,even the late order of fresh fruit salad.The staff were very friendly and attentive .The use of a pool and sun loungers were a bonus as was the complimentary cream tea on arrival.

Well we have stayed in lot's of hotels over time and The tremarne.is up there with one of the best.Wes,Tam and staff were the most genuinely nicest people, made us feel so welcome and relaxed.The bedroom was stunning along with the food and facilities. We could of easily moved in and stayed forever.If you're thinking of a stay in Cornwall then we highly recommend to all.Hopefully we will get back there one day to see them again.Thanks again to a gorgeous couple.

We have to say from start to finish it was brilliant. The staff could not do enough to help you always cheerful & smiling. The food was excellent quality. When we had a problem with shower head it was sorted immediately. We will be defiantly come back

If you love coastal countryside, a relaxing, comfortable hotel and delicious food this is the perfect hotel for you!We have never had such perfect breakfast and dinner and lovely hosts before. we stayed for three nights here and really liked the Hotel and the very friendly staff. It is in a good location overlooking a valley and the car park was adequate. The cooked breakfasts were superb and the one night we ate the Hotel we had our best meal of the trip. Would highly recommend this place and suggest book room 16 if you can as it has a lovely balcony overlooking the valley.

We had an amazing week with Wes & Tam. Wes provided an excellent and well cooked menu as well as tasty snacks. Breakfast was brilliant with amazing eggs. We particularly loved the eggs benedict with smoked salmon or bacon.The rooms were well furnished and the beds really comfortable. We had the mini suite which had a large balcony with a great view to the sea and the countryside.Wes & Tam were perfect hosts and helped us have a brilliant stay. There is an easy walk down to Mevagissey (a bit steeper coming back) and also to Portmellon Harbour. For walkers the Coast Path is easy to get to and a lovely walk.

We have visited this hotel many times (with various owners), and have always found it a wonderful, friendly, hospitable,and relaxing place to stay.Tamsin and Wesley go the extra mile to make everyone feel special and welcome.Fascilities are great and Wesley's meals are really delicious and very good value. We would highly recommend the Hotel and Restaurant.

When we arrived the staff were very friendly.We were shown all the amenities swimming pool are room the restaurant and bar .We unpacked then went down for a drink and we were offered a complimentary cream tea later we had a meal the food was delicious and couldn’t find a single fault are breakfast the next day was the same all fresh food and very tasty.If we were to stay in the area again then this would be the place to stay

The folk at Tremarne Hotel were the among the most welcoming I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy when staying away from home. The smiles, the help, the understanding was first rate. Also the room was sufficient for what we wanted and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Well worth a stay for whatever reason you are in south Cornwall.

Room 3 with its double aspect is a delight. The welcome by Tasmin was genuine and warm, the complementary cream tea a lovely touch. The food, both breakfast and dinner cooked by Wesley was fabulous. The hotel is clean and well decorated with plenty of areas for guests to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our four days and will be returning.

I cannot recommend The Tremarne Hotel highly enough. Friendly and relaxed style with a lovely eye for detail and treats - box of chocs in room, cream tea on arrival and on this occasion we were given an upgrade to a beautiful room with a balcony. Handy for Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and South West Coast path and a short stroll into Mevagissey, just perfect.

Just what the doctor ordered, a very relaxing break which was much needed.The warm welcome from Tam after a long car journey was much appreciated.We stayed in the room with the balcony that overlooked the bay which was delightful especially with the weather we had.Wes is a master of his craft in the kitchen and the food he provided was top class.The attention to detail and can't do enough for you attitude from both of them and their staff was spot on and we would not hesitate to return.

The hotel was as lovely as we were expecting, having read reviews from previous guests. Tamsin was the perfect host and the relaxed, but efficient way in which she and her husband run the hotel made for the perfect midweek getaway we were hoping for. The breakfast was excellent, and we also took advantage of the bar and a light supper on one evening which was the ideal way to end a rather rainy day. We hope to return on another occasion to experience true Cornish hospitality at its best.

First stop on four weeks in the UK, and the bar was set very high. Lovely welcome with Cornish tea,beautifully maintained guest house with views over hills to the sea.Friendly staff,excellent breakfast and chocolates. Ten out of ten!

We had a very warm welcome from our hosts who took our drenched waterproofs to hang up and dry and gave us newspaper for our soggy boots.The cream tea on arrival was delicious and we were really pleased with the service throughout our stay.Clearly used to walkers on the coast paths, our hosts gave us an early breakfast to set us up for the day.The hotel was furnished to a high standard and a good location just a few minutes walk into the centre.

I can fully recommend this small establishment, which includes a fabulous breakfast (cooked and continental options) and the opportunity to reserve a table for the evening meal on 4 nights per week.The cooking is very good indeed - all the ingredients are very fresh and thoughtfully served, without fuss.Best of all though is probably the friendliness of the hosts and cleanliness of the rooms/en suite.For walkers, they also thoughtfully have a water refill dispenser by a boot rack.The only slight improvement they could make would be to ensure the housekeeping was consistent - some days nightwear was folded, towels replaced, etc.,but not others.

The Tremarne Hotel was a delightful place to spend the night. It was easy to find from the hotel's description provided.It is tucked away off the main road, in a quiet location with lovely views of the surrounding countryside and a peek at the sea.We were warmly greeted and shown to our very comfortable, spacious and spotless room.We were then offered a delicious, complimentary afternoon tea cream tea and the scones were delicious.In the morning the breakfast was equally delicious too.

Stayed at the Tremarne for the Easter weekend and really enjoyed our stay.The hotel is just out of town up a slight hill but this wasn’t a problem as it meant we had great views of Portmellon bay from our room balcony.What really makes this hotel one of the best is Wes and Tam who run the hotel.There is a small bar and a lounge where you can chat with fellow guests and a restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served, we had dinner all 3 nights of our stay and and the food was lovely, (one of the best steaks I’ve had any where).This really is a gem of a hotel and we definitely be returning, hopefully when the sun is shining so we can use the pool!

We were given a warm welcome in the car park by “ Wesley” who sorted our cases from the car to the room.We were immediately offered a superb complimentary cream tea.We had booked the Junior Suite with a balcony, which has stunning views across the valley and looking left to the sea.Unfortunately due to high winds and torrential rain we were not able to take advantage of this excellent facility.The hotel is spotlessly clean and bright and airy and beautifully decorated and all the decor colour coordinated.For Wesley and Tamsin nothing was too much trouble for them during our stay.There were no evening meals available on the nights we stayed, but the breakfast were to a very high standardWe would certainly recommend this superb hotel, with the proviso you are able bodied, my wife and I have mobility problems and found the outside steps, although there is a side ramp, and the insidestairs a problem.That aside both Wesley and Tamsin did all they possibly could to help us.We wish the couple a successful future as they thoroughly deserve it.Ernest and Roberta Roberts.March 2023.

A last minute booking led to finding this gem, run by a very friendly couple who go out of their way to ensure guests’ needs are met and exceeded. With excellent knowledge of not only the local area but Cornwall overall.We received a free upgrade to a larger room upon arrival, which was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and a lovely view at the front of the property.Breakfast was delicious, tailored to each individual guest and beautifully presented.We would definitely stay again.

First impression: spotlessly clean!Wonderful hosts, great room and delicious food.

The Tremarne is a lovely hotel just a short walk from the town centre. It's immaculately kept by the owners Wes & Tam and nothing is a problem for them. We stayed in room 4 which is at the front of the hotel and has stunning views. The room is a good size room and comes with complimentary tea, coffee, water and a box of chocolates! On arrival you are offered a complimentary cream tea but you can defer the offer until later in your stay. Breakfast is excellent, you make your choice the night before, book your time and on arrival everything is ready for you. This suited us as we didn't have to wait around for others to be served so could get on with our day. We also choose to eat there in the evening and have to say the venison bourguignon was to die for! Melt in the mouth and very tasty. We drank in their bar which has a good range on offer and got to know the owners a little better. All in all our stay was perfect, completely exceeding our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to book again, perhaps in the summer when the pool is open! Thanks Tam & Wes for making our stay so good x

Lovely hotelin quiet setting. Room very comfortable with good bed. Hosts are very welcoming and made the stay . Staff are equally welcoming. Food is very good both at breakfast and in the evening.If there is a downside the stairs are rather steep if you are in the senior age group. This is very good hotel which we would highly recommend. For ease of travel go in via Portmellon and NOT Mevagissey.

We received such a warm welcome on arrival by Tam.She kindly offered us an upgrade which we were happy to take.We received a complimentary cream tea and had the best scones ever tasted made by the incredible Wes.The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a complimentary box of chocolates on the bed along with the usual tea and coffee making facilities.The breakfast that we pre-ordered was of a very good standard which set us well for a days walking.We'll definitely return.

Tamsin and Wesley are wonderful hosts. They are so friendly and helpful and the service is second to none. Every guest is made to feel special and welcome. On arrival, there is a scrumptious complimentary cream tea on the veranda, and on subsequent days drinks or cream teas can be ordered after a day of sightseeing.Wesley's food is some of the best I've eaten in Cornwall and I would heartily recommend booking an evening meal, as places are quickly filled. Alles ist liebevoll aufeinander abgestimmt, jeder Wunsch wird sofort erfüllt und das Abendessen im Restaurant ist sowohl empfehlenswert, wie auch preislich absolut okay. Das es etwas hellhöriger ist muss angesichts des Baualters nicht verwundern, aber uns hat das nicht gestört. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Room 16 offers every comfort imaginable, a spacious, beautifully furnished room with a good sized ensuite bath/shower room with fluffy towels.Tam and Wes have their eye on every detail and are definitely amazing hosts where nothing is too much trouble.The food is worthy of Michelin status, every morsel a delight.A must stay!

We enjoyed a really lovely stay during August 2022. Wes,Tam and their whole team provided a welcoming and oustanding experience. We optedto dine in for dinner and the food, both at dinner and breakfast was delicious, creative and beautifully presented. Housekeeping was top notch and the standard of furnishings both in our room (the Portmellon Suite) and throughtout the hotel was delightful. We had a memorablestay and would love to return. We wish you all the very best for the rest of the season.

My husband & I and two friends stayed here last week for a weeks holiday. It was fantastic. The room was very comfortable & spacious (Room 1). You couldn’t fault the breakfast & evening meal, it was more 5 star than 3 star. Nothing was too much trouble. Wez & Tamsin, you really know what you are doing & you & your staff made our holiday really special. I would certainly recommend your lovely hotel and if we’re ever back in Cornwall, I know where I’ll be staying.

Tam and Wes run the most amazing hotel here. The staff are always friendly and smiling, welcoming you always with a smile, no matter what time of day or night.Welcomed with a cream tea on arrival, scones still warm, and lovely touch of chocolates on pillow in room. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and special.Room was spotless as was the entire hotel, and our room had a balcony with amazing country views and coastal views. Pool was a added bonus and there is a bar there also. Wes is the most amazing chef, and created some beautiful dishes, all made with local produce. Tam is at her best front of house and has amazing communication and customer skills.I cannot believe it is only 3 stars with AA definitely worth more, as it has so much to offer. We would recommend and will definitely return.

Lovely hotel in a great location, about a 10 minute walk to the village, friendly owners who gave us a cream tea on arrival. Our suite was large with a big balcony with a sea view. The breakfast was tasty and well cooked.

Our 2 night stay at Tremarne ticked all the boxes - Wesley and Tamsin are outstanding hosts and their welcome and care throughout our stay was second to none (compared with many small hotels in which we’ve stayed).The cream tea on arrival is a lovely idea, their interaction with us whenever we saw them was much appreciated.Nothing was too much trouble for them and it is evident that they really care about people, which is a refreshing change in this day and age.The blue and white seaside decor is fresh and calming, the location is very quiet and peaceful and all the facilities are well looked after.We didn’t sample the outside pool, but it looked clean and well maintained. We would certainly recommend Tremarne to anyone wishing to stay in Mevagissey.

We stayed at the Tremarne for a wonderful week in August. Tamsin and Wes are lovely people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. From the traditional “complimentary” Cornish Cream Tea upon arrival to the “we are sad to see you go” at the end.The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Our room was light and airy, with views of the sea from one window and beautiful rolling countryside from the other.There is a small pool at the hotel with sun lounges and quiet places to rest and read. You can also sit out on the terrace and enjoy a drink while enjoying the late afternoon and evening calm. Breakfast is fantastic. Evening meals are not available every night, so it’s worth checking on the website. When they are, make a reservation. The food is gorgeous. We ate at the hotel on our first Monday and last Friday.

Stayed at the Tremarne for 2 nights recently. Nice quiet location, stayed in the junior suite with fantastic balcony and sea views. Some lovely touches, box of chocolates in the room on arrival and bottled water every day. The water dispenser in the reception was great especially after the walk back to the hotel up polkirt hill. The hotel is a short walk to portmellon beach. The outside pool was a real treat to cool off in on hot days. Great staff, breakfast was well organised and plentiful. Will definitely stay in the hotel again when we return to mevagissey.

This was our second stay at the Tremarne and once again we were both delighted with the quality of the accommodation and the high level of care from all members of staff.The owners, Tam and Wes are the perfect hosts and will go out of their way to ensure that every second of your stay is perfect.The food is lovely, expertly made by Wes, lovely breakfasts and evening meals, all cooked to perfection. Tam and Wes have built a great team who work together to offer the highest level of service possible, everyone is focused on providing the best service possible, always with a smile.Our room, number 3, was perfect, a corner room with views to the sea one side and lovely countryside to the other. The bed is excellent and we both slept really well the whole two weeks we stayed.We've already booked for next year!

The only regret I have about the place is that we were only able to stay for 5 nights. Everything about this hotel met and exceeded our expectations - location, room, service, evening meals, breakfasts, atmosphere...I could go on at some length, but will just limit myself to saying that we hope to return sometime soon.

What a little gem! Tucked away but within easy walking distance (if up and downhill!) of both Mevagissy and Portmellon. We arrived having just eaten lunch not realising afternoon tea would be served to us once we were settled. Sadly, we had no room for it! We were going to eat out evening meal out but having read the menu, decided to stay in and most certainly were not disappointed! Excellent quality and s very reasonable price. The hotel was spotlessly clean and there was a lovely touch of chocolates left on the bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would thoroughly recommend and will be back.

We have a had a lovely stay. The staff are really friendly with nothing to much trouble.Food beautiful,room lovely and clean all lovely. If I had one little criticism is that perhaps a few more loungers by the pool but on saying that we did have exceptional weather so they were in demand .Would come again

All the staff at the Tremarne were very friendly and attentive. The complimentary cream tea on arrival, served on the front terrace with views of the hills, was a real treat. The pool terrace had stunning views of the bay and the pool was clean but could have been a bit warmer for me! Our standard room was pleasant but rather small, fine for one night but possibly not for a longer stay, however the outside areas and spacious guest lounge provided lots of places to relax. The carpets could do with a regular clean in the high traffic areas as this let down the otherwise immaculateappearance.

Another thoroughly enjoyable stay. Excellent accommodation and food. Staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We had glorious weather so we're able to make the most of the pool and outside areas. Great base to explore Cornwall

What a fantastic hotel. Tamsin and Wes are perfect hosts and all the staff had a very bright and sunny attitude which made your day from the start. They couldn’t do enough for you. Food was superb, Wes is a fantastic cook. Everything is so well organised. The hotel is so clean and tidy and has a perfect position with a lovely garden complete with pool with views over the bay. We would have no hesitation in staying again if we are in the area.

We received a wonderful welcome at Tremarne Hotel where we were greeted with a free Cornish afternoon tea. The little extras in the room were also a delight. We stayed for two nights at this delightful hotel. The rooms were spotlessly aclean. Wes and Tam (the owners) and their team all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovelywish we had been there the nights Wes cooked as so many guests were saying how good his meals were. We will visit again as soon as we can.

Ideally situated on the outskirts of Mevagissey resulting in magnificent sea views. A warm welcome by the host with a complimentary cream tea on arrival. The bedroom was well appointed with dual aspect resulting in rural and sea views. Both breakfast and evening meals were preordered but were of an extremely high standard with plenty of choice. Overall a most enjoyable stay.

Like coming home for a holiday

The hosts Wes and Tam were so friendly and welcoming. We stayed for one week, the food was excellent, with a good choice from the menu, and we felt like we were family. Our room was very spacious and very clean. We will definitely stay there again, next time we are in Cornwall.

Das schöne Fischerdorf Mevagissey ist sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Inhaber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, Service hervorragend. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das im Hotel angebotene Frühstück und Abendessen ist auch sehr gut. Wir werden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten.

We only stayed one night on our way to a holiday cottage and after a long drive a stay at Tremarne ensured that we quickly relaxed and refreshed.The reception was friendly and informative, the room was quiet and comfortable and the diner was excellent, as was the breakfast the following morning.We can highly recommend a stay at Tremarne, whether it be for one night or much longer.

What a little gem! On our arrival, a complimentary cream tea and a box of chocolates on the pillow, was the beginning of a great stay in this lovely well run and clean hotel. The room was big and bright and the balcony, where we enjoyed an evening Gin and Tonic after a superb dinner was terrific. A lovely way to end the day as the weather was lovely and warm, sitting basking in the sunshine overlooking the countryside to the coast.The owner was lovely with a bubbly upbeat personality and nothing was too much trouble for her.Located a 10-minute walk into Mevagissey this is an ideal location. We were most impressed with the welcome we received, the room had a magnificent sea view which was most appreciated by my wife, the room was very clean and comfortable and included some lovely extras.All the meals were first class.All the staff were very friendly helpful, knowledgeable and made our stay so memorable, thank you Tamsin and all the team.The visit exceeded all of our expectations and we would thoroughly recommend this Hotel.

After entering the lobby with its clean white and pale blue decor and comfortable lavender furniture, we felt instantly relaxed. The rest of the hotel is just as relaxing and clean; we felt we could walk around in socks or bare feet.There is a comfy, light and airy lounge with door to the patio wher you can sit and enjoy drinks or cream tea. A cream tea was complimentary on our arrival. The restaurant is also clean, light and tastefully decorated. Meals are ordered in advance and we selected our menu and time to dine for each breakfast and evening. Breakfast was daily with a great selection and full evening meals are served Fri to Mon. Other days we were able to order from a 'light' menu which was quite enough when we had had a good lunch out. The hotel has a bar that is well-stocked for its size.There is a metre-deep unheated pool at the back with sun loungers on a patio area. A morning dip was out of the question as the water didn't get very warm in May, but it wasn't too bad later in the afternoon.We had chosen the Portmellon suite for its balcony and more space. The balcony has outdoor furniture, is a sun trap from being south facing and is cleverly laid with clean soft fake grass for comfort. The sea view is limited unless you stand at the balcony rail but pleasing, and the rolling fields and view of Portmellon are quietly relaxing. The room itself was very clean, well equipped andcomfortable. WiFi was a bit weak. Bottled water, biscuits and supplies for hot drinks were replenished daily when room service cleaned and made up the room. The plastic bottles, or your travel bottles, can be refilled from a water cooler in the lobby for days out. The bed was lovely and comfortable and we slept well. The caution on the bathroom wall about variations in the shower water temperature were not to be ignored as changes in water pressure in the hotel caused sudden cold shocks. The bath is probably a good option but we preferred to play temperature roulette.The owners, a young couple with two young children, are fantastic. Tam and Wes are natural hosts and, while clearly not strangers to the Hospitality business when they acquired Tremarne in 2018, made us feel we being given special treatment. Their personal and personable approach really made our stay so much more enjoyable. Wes's menu and chef skills were a pleasant surprise and Tam was never without a smile and pleasant conversation. The clientele were international and all appeared to enjoy their stay. We had the good fortune to meet Wes & Tam's two little boys and wish the whole family a happy and successful future. Tremarne Hotel under their ownership is now our accommodation of choice on the South Cornish Coast.

Before booking this hotel I read the reviews first , now having stayed there I understand the high praise it’s been given , I agree with everything that’s been said previously, nothing is to much trouble, all the staff were fantastic especially Wes and his lovely wife , everything was perfect! The room , cleanliness, the food , the decor , the nice touches of the complimentary cream tea on arrival and the chocolates in the room, I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Great welcome, very well presented throughout, comfortable room with everything you need and a swimming pool. Tam & Wes are great hosts and the location is great for Mevagissey (with parking) and on the SW Coast Path. Highly recommended.

This place had great staff, great breakfast, and great free candies. We were walking the Coast path and have done several walks in the UK. This place had the best welcome and the best place for boots and drying room of any place we've been. Location was ok for walkers, really good for driving. Great views from the rooms.

My wife and I have just recently stayed at the The Tremarne Hotel. We have both given it 5 stars, because the hotel and the staff were absolutely fantastic. The hotel was very clean and the staff were so friendly and anything you asked was never a problem. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and we have the sea view which was beautiful. The hotel also has it's own swimming pool, sun loungers and a patio area, where you could sit and chill out. The walk from the hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the harbour and if you walked through the park you got stunning views. On our last night of our stay, we had a meal at the hotel and the food was excellent. Breakfast each morning was very good with a great selection to choose from. The staff were first class serving and if you wanted more tea or coffee that was never a problem. The hotel has a nice sitting lounge and it's own bar with a good selection of drinks. We sat outside the front of the hotel and had our drinks and taking in the fabulous countryside view's. This was our first stay at the the Tremarne Hotel and we highly recommend it and we will definitely be staying here again in the near future. Thank you so much for looking after us both. We had such a wonderful one night stay on Saturday. Everything was perfect the staff so friendly nothing too much trouble, other guests staying at the hotel were so friendly aswell!! A lovely atmosphere everything you needed a very warm welcome we will def be back!

We booked blind and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and its food.After the first day the access to the harbour became acceptable and despite watching the difficulty of others negotiating the narrow lane to the hotel, we found that by delaying our exit from the hotelby 30 mins we could travel down to the harbour by car without any major problem.Unfortunately the weather was not kind enough for us to enjoy the pool, but we are sure that it is a great asset to you.Your hospitality throughout by yourselves and staff was excellent.Our room with the balcony was very comfortable and the bed luxurious and gave us a good nights' sleep.Our only criticism was that we would have appreciated larger bath-towells.However, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel to others.

This was a return visit to the Tremarne, but our first stay with Tam and Wes. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, from the chocolates in the room and the cream tea on arrival to the fabulous meals, including the best poached eggs I have ever eaten. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, no matter how difficult we were (one of us has to have a gluten-free and lactose-free diet).

Delightful small hotel, run by charming husband and wife team. Delicious cream tea treat on arrival. Breakfasts excellent and dinner even better - really worth booking dinner in! Nothing is too much trouble and the hotel has a very nice terrace and a comfortable sitting room for cooler evenings. (We were too early for the pool) Beautifully decorated throughout and very pleased with our room - great attention to detail.Splendid location for visiting the local area, and always a pleasure to come back to the hotel at the end of the day. Quite honestly this was one of the nicest smaller hotels We have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean and well presented. The host was lovely very friendly and well coming. My wife and I just recently stayed at the Tremarne Hotel. From the moment we arrived we were very impressed. We were greeted by Wes who showed us to our room. The hotel is spotlessly clean and extremely well maintained. Our breakfast was served by Wes’s wife who was charming and the breakfast was delicious. Their overall attitude was First Class and I have no doubt they will be very successful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is an exquisite gem of a hotel in a wonderful location, just a short walk from the centre of Mevagissey. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and Wesley and Tamsin, the hosts, could not have been more welcoming. The hotel was literally bathed in sunlight and love. The breakfast was lovely and I appreciated the chocolates left on my pillow.

From the start we were welcomed and tempted to a free cream tea. We sadly refused because we were off to a meal in Mevigissey.The Managers at this Hotel are the most friendly we have come across. Facilities and our breakfast were excellent. ' Leaving was such sweet sorrow'really applies here.

We couldn’t have been after better by Tam and Wes. After a warm welcome when we arrived, shown into a spotless bedroom with complimentary chocolates and a cream tea if we wanted it. Tremarne is a few minutes walk from the village and has good parking. We decided to eat at the hotel for convenience on our first night and were very glad we did. Perfectly cooked local fish with accompaniments and a good choice of beers and wines at very reasonable prices.We couldn't fault our stay thanks to our excellent hosts

We found the hotel on line and the good reviews were correct. The hosts were very welcoming, the rooms are clean and general areas also at a good standard. We were given clean towels everyday. The breakfast is great with a good choice. I would recommend this hotel to couples who are exploring this area of Cornwall.

From the minute we checked in we were made to feel really welcome. Bedroom was spotless & contained everything you could possibly want, plus the added extra of a box of chocolates. We were also given a totally unexpected complimentary Cornish cream tea - delicious as was breakfast in the morning. The hotel was in a great position overlooking the fishing village of Mevagissey. Can't praise Wes & Tam the hosts enough. There are many larger, more expensive hotels that could learn a few lessons in real hospitality from this lovely young couple & we will certainly be visiting again.

Good location. View of the ocean from bedroom windows. Excellent dinners.Attentive table service.One can just leave the car and walk to harbour town or along the Cornish coast path.Only complaint was the shower unit, but may be I didn't push the right buttons.Very clean and light and airy lounge, bar, and dining rooms, and outside sun room verandah.

I had read all the reviews before booking the Tremarne and thought no hotel could be that good. How wrong was I! Tam greeted me on arrival and carried my case to my room then offered me complimentary afternoon tea which was delicious. Tam and Wes are a lovely couple and nothing was to much trouble for them. My room was spotless and comfortable. The lounge and bar area the same. I had breakfast and dinner and wasn’t disappointed. Wes is an amazing cook. I honestly couldn’t find any fault at all in this amazing gem of a find hotel. I will certainly be back.

Our second stay at Tremarne. Location is perfect with great sea views. Tamsin and Wes were the perfect hosts as well as all the staff nothing was to much trouble,the rooms are very clean and modern. Breakfast is amazing with a huge choice,we would highly recommend a stay here 5 stars all round.

We’ve just spent another wonderful 3 night stay at the Tremarne.Even though there were no evening meals available this time, Wes went out of his way to drive us down & up to the village each evening, as Tony is disabled & unable to walk very far.Of course, the breakfast was amazing…Wes’s legendary scrambled eggs did not disappoint!Then when we came to leave on Saturday morning & had car problems everyone was so kind & supportive.Tam, Wes & their small team ( plus Wes’s lovely Mum & Dad ) made our stay so pleasurable..they genuinely want you to have the best,most relaxing stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Tremarne. The room was comfortable and our welcome cream tea was much appreciated! The lounge was really attractive and comfortable, the bar was small and cosy. Wes and Tam were excellent hosts, and we enjoyed chatting to Wes in the bar both evenings we were there. We completely understand why the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings and we enjoyed trying other local venues as recommended by Wes and Tam. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety on offer.

Really enjoyed another stay at the Tremarne this year in September. Hotel is very well run by Tamsin & Wes, very clean and you feel safe there. Food is very good Wes is an excellent cook. If you book for the evening meals, as we did,you will not be disappointed.

We had a very enjoyable week at the Tremarne. The room was very comfortable and the food was excellent. All areas of the hotel and the pool were spotlessly clean. The staff were all friendly and went out of their way to ensure that guests were happy.

This is a gem of a place to stay. A warm welcome from Tamsin who showed us to our clean well appointed rooms.Wes provided us with excellent food both for breakfast & evening meals. The food was plentiful, well cooked & there was a good choice. Catering for our veggie son was no problem.We were walking the South West coast path which goes across the bottom of the driveway so a perfect spot to stay.This young couple deserve every success. Thank you for such a lovely few days. We would like to return once we have completed the coast path!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, just wish it had been a week! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home by the lovely hosts, Tam & Wes. Our room was spotlessly clean and the hotel was very Covid aware, masks required when moving around the hotel. The extra touches - complimentary cream tea on arrival and chocs in our room - were most welcome. The food was to die for from the hearty, tasty breakfasts to the first class evening meals that you could book in for. It rivalled any first class restaurant I’ve been to and I would recommend anyone to book in in advance.The swimming pool looked glorious, and we used the sun loungers in the garden, as well as the comfy chairs!The hotel is in a gorgeous position high up from Mevagissey - takes about 10 minute gentle stroll down to the harbour and maybe a bit longer to come back up! A few nice looking restaurants down there. We ate in the wheelhouse pub which was ok, unable to book in at the Sharksfin as fully booked. If you’re a nervous driver, this is prob not the place for you as the roads in and out are steep and scary!We absolutely loved our time spent at The Tremarne. It’s a wonderful, cosy place run by lovely people. Thank you both for making our Cornwall visit so special. We will be back! Good luck with the baby!

This is a lovely hotel, superbly run by a young, enthusiastic, highly professional couple.Nothing is too much trouble and the food is very good.The Hotel is ideally situated with lovely views and we enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for next summer!

Not much to add to all the other excellent reviews. The owners Tam and Wes are charming, helpful and efficient and their staff are uniformly friendly and welcoming. Our "superior" room was of good size and fully equipped, everything worked as it should, and we slept well in the comfortable bed.Food is good, excellent value and worth staying in for.

The trip was planned as a mini honeymoon as we got married the day before. The whole experience from the first step through the door to checking out was outstanding, the owners and staff were lovely, the food was top notch and the accommodation and views were out of this world.

What a great hotel! The hosts were very friendly and efficient and really looked after us with a smile. The hotel is clean and well kept and newly decorated. It has an elevated position partially overlooking the sea and is only a 10 minuet walk into Mevagissey. This is the best way to get into town anyway as it is not very car friendly.Our bedroom was spacious,clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is exceptional cooked by the co owner of the hotel.In fact we stayed at a 5 star hotel after this one and the food was not as good there.There is a small garden at the rear of the hotel with a small outdoor swimming pool and loungers which was great. We hope to return in the future.

The hotel is in a quiet location with plenty of parking and beautiful views. We were made very welcome by Tam our host with a cream tea in our large and very comfortable bedroom.Everything in the hotel was well organised, nothing was to much trouble and a happy and relaxed atmosphere shone through. We ate in the hotel every night, there was always variety of choice and the food and presentation was superb.Would highly recommend this hotel to all age groups looking for a great holiday.

We had a pleasant stay at The Tremarne Hotel. Our room was comfortable and the owners/managers were helpful and friendly.Our satnav guided us to the hotel through Mevagissey and onto a very narrow steep road being used by traffic in both directions.We later learned of an alternative and easier route to reach the hotel.

Our second time staying here. Tam and Wes are the perfect hosts. Friendly, helpful and always around to help.The hotel is super clean and welcoming, home from home. Wes the chef cooks fabulous meals. Breakfast has a large choice and is beautifully presented. The evening meals are superb and good value. The hotel is in a great position with plenty of parking, which is a big bonus in Mevagissey. The hotel doesn’t have a lift so be prepared for stairs, especially if you have a top floor room. Ask for a lower room if you feel you may struggle. You won’t be disappointed if you decide to stay here.

Everything about this Hotel is just so good. The welcome , the food , the cleanliness and above all the cosy feel that the owners have created. For us personally, it was right on the coastal path which was an added bonus. Superb !

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this wonderful hotel the last week of August. We have never left a review before but felt after such a wonderful week we needed to let people know what a gem this place is.On arrival we were met by Tam, who was always smiling and happy, we were made to feel very welcome, sheshowed us around and gave us a beautiful complimentary cream tea which was a lovely.We felt very safe Covid wise, the staff all wore masks , there was hand gels readily available in communal areas and in our room. We stopped in room 19, which had a lovely view of the pool and sea, again very clean and a beautiful bathroom.We had breakfast and evening meals for our weeks stay and we are very glad we did as the food was amazing. All beautifully cooked by Wes, we didn’t leave one bite all week. I’m vegetarian and I had a different beautifully cooked meal each night.Tam and Wes made our stay so lovely, I can’t recommend this beautiful hotel enough. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a wonderful week and making our stay here do lovely .Definitely worth 5 stars, I would give you 10 stars if I could,

What a fabulous hotel. We were treated with care and consideration from the moment we arrived. The room was bright, spotlessly clean and airy, and the view of the bay was spectacular. Tam and her husband had considered everything tourists could possible need, from a complimentary cream tea to first class cooking. Breakfast was delicious, with the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs being our favourite. The evening meal was second to none, and dishes to suit every palate. there was also a great choice of alcoholic beverages available. We would recommend The Tremarne Hotel unreservedly. I can’t praise the wonderful owners enough. True warm welcome that continued throughout our stay. Incredible views and outside space. This hotel was a spur of the moment booking for a very short break for us, and what a gem we have found. We couldn’t fault the service and welcome at this hotel. The lady who greeted us was so warm and friendly! The room was clean and comfortable. We only had breakfast, which was delicious, but heard from other guests that the evening meals were amazing too. Looking forward to going back there again soon.

We stayed at the Tremarne Hotel on an overnight stay at Mevagessy. We chose the hotel after reading the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The room was spotless, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable, great nights sleep. The outside pool was a lovely touch, weather wasn't great but I was determined to brave it and go for a swim. We ate in the Restaurant as we had heard the food was delicious and it definitely was. Wes is an excellent cook and Tam was a great host, very attentive and friendly. We were well looked afterand if visiting Mevagessy would not hesitate to book again and recommend to others.

Myself and my wife stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. We cannot fault this hotel at all. The owners and staff are so incredibly nice, we felt very much at home there. The food is excellent, don’t bother to eat in Mevagissey you will not beat the amazing food the chef serves, who also happens to be one of the lovely owners.Great location and lovely walks nearby.

We stayed at The Tremarne when in Cornwall for a wedding. Everything about our accommodation - generous en-suite room with a sea view, delicious food, aperitif drinks on the sun soaked terrace, delightful staff, easy walk to the village - made a special weekend even better. Wonderful.

I came for the bank holiday weekend. The staff were very polite welcoming. Our room was cleaned everyday and all the towels smelled lovely with comfort. Very very clean building throughout. Meals were outstanding. Pool was nice. Location was close to boat trips several beaches that are good for families or couples. Would highly recommend. Good value for money. Very peaceful mature location. Would definitely book again.

Wonderful warm friendly family run hotel,Tam and Wes are a lovely young couple who make you feel very friendly in their lovely comfy home,breakfast menu choices are fab from a full English to eggs benedict all beautifully cooked and presented,the evening meals are all delicious and excellent value we ended up eating at the hotel three of the five nights we were there,nothing is to much trouble for them and shall be returning next year.

Booked up last minute, a bit more expensive than we would usually pay but it was well worth it. The whole place was very well kept and smelled clean and fresh, the staff and owners were all extremely helpful and welcoming. View from superior room was lovely and pool area was also immaculate. Breakfast was excellent, good choice and quality.Glad we found this little gem and would definitely recommend.

This Hotel is run by a young couple who gave us the warmest welcome and made sure everything was perfect during our stay. We arrived and settled down next to the pool to enjoy the afternoon sun. Then at 4pm we enjoyed a complimentary Cream Tea on the terrace amongst the beautiful blue Agapanthus. The Hotel is situated up the hill and around the corner towards Portmellon in a lovely peaceful neighbourhood. Mevagissy is a 15 minute walk down the hill and its nice to be away from the hustle & bustle of the village. We didn’t have dinner here as they weren’t serving that evening, so we ate Fish & Chips next to the harbour as the restaurants were all fully booked. I stayed with my 80 year old Mum and she enjoyed the best night sleep (she doesn’t sleep well usually) The following morning we had our pre-ordered breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine and it was so lovely we didn’t want to leave.

On a rare 24 hour break from our young children we booked in for a night at The Tremarne Hotel & so glad we did. Lovely room with gorgeous seaview from 1 window & rolling hills from the other. A couple of hours relaxing by the pool, my husband had a swim, then drinks on the terrace before heading into mevagissey for dinner. Fabulous veggie cooked breakfast then we were off, recharged & ready for family life again. I can't recommend this hotel enough for an overnight stay or longer if you can. The staff are all super friendly& helped make it a really enjoyable stay, thank you all.

The hotel is a 5 mn stroll down to picturesque Mevagissey (we liked the Ship Inn) and it's on the coastal path so no need to move the car to do beautiful walks, which was a bonus. We stayed for ten days and were both so impressed with the Tremarne. The owners, Tam and Wes are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. We also ate in the restaurant on several nights, the menu offered several choices so there was always something to tempt us. We had lovely fish dishes on three nights and were blown away by the quality and attention to getting just the right balance of flavours Wes had used making them. If you stay here, don't miss out, book a dinner, you'll be glad you did.The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully prepared. We had a double-aspect sea and countryside view, so lovely when we opened our curtains in the morning.The hotel has a swimming pool at the rear which is kept meticulously clean. We only managed to go in it once as the weather was a bit changeable during our stay. The pool isn't a deep one, so ideal to paddle and relax in. There are also plenty of garden seats to lounge in near the pool.The hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Mevagissey town, which we loved. At night it was very quiet and peaceful; something you won't get in the town itself.Mevagissey town is a 15 minute walk down the hill, and depending on your fitness, a slightly longer walk on the way back!The hotel has guest parking at the front, so you can leave your car safely parked when you go exploring on foot.We can honestly say that the Tremarne is the best hotel we've stayed in, and we have tried a lot. We've already booked for next year!We were sad to be going home, but we both felt re-charged and so much happier.Tam and Wes deserve every success for their hard work. Thanks so much!

This is just the best Hotel we have stayed in . We discovered this little gem last year and fell in love and this time came back and brought my elderly father . The entire hotel is spotlessly clean , the rooms are beautiful and even get a box of chocolates. The food is just amazing . All the staff are so friendly and attentive. THANKYOU Tamsin. A fantastic stay from start to finish. We were greeted with a smile and a cream tea. Tam and Wes are great hosts. The food (both breakfast and evening meal) was delicious. Also, the room was beautiful and very clean. Great location on the outskirts of Mevagissey with plenty of parking. A short walk down into the town. Can’t wait to return.

We returned for our second holiday and found the hotel just as good as last time. The rooms clean and well maintained, the staff friendly and couldn't do enough for you; the food - out of this world!What more can you ask for! It may not be the cheapest hotel, but value for money it's 5 stars!

On arrival we had a lovely warm welcome from the owners, The room was superb overlooking the pool so we made full use of it straight away as the weather was fantastic !! all the guest's were very friendly which say's alot about the hotel, breakfast the next morning served outside over looking the rolling hill's was perfect, this hotel is a hidden gem & we will definitley be coming back !!!

This was the most fantastic place I have ever stayed. Wesley and Tam couldn’t do enough for you. The food cooked by Wesley was amazing and the room had the best view I’ve ever had. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish it was for longer.Everything was excellent - we had a lovely view from our room, food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful.All areas were spotlessly clean and we did use the swimming pool. Tam and Wes have created a fantastic hotel.

The owners and staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was lovely to receive tea and scones on arrival. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very well furnished. Our room was well decorated, spacious and bright. The bed was comfortable with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was very good and we had two evening meals there which were of a high standard. The owner very thoughtfully piped Happy Anniversary on my dessert when we told her it was our anniversary.

We’ve stayed several times at the Tremarne and the welcome we receive is always warm and friendly, the rooms are always clean and comfortable and the fullfull full Cornish breakfast superb. We visit Mevagissey every year COVID permitting and wil return again to the Tremarne next year. We stayed in Room 18 this year, which has a beautiful sea view.

One of the most friendliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble, Tam even lent me her own hairdryer for my duration. Spotlessly clean, cream tea on arrival, plenty of parking, swimming pool with loungers where I spent (with other guests) late afternoon before dinner. Food delicious and the breakfast was hot, as it should be not luke warm, all meals cooked by Wes. Tan and Wes are a young couple who obviously love what they do. We enjoyed a wonderful short break at the Tremarne. From the welcome from Tam with the complimentary cream tea nothing was too much trouble for these wonderful hosts. The hotel is in a great position with walks from the hotel. We were able to explore Mevagissey and the surrounding area which is stunning. The food was excellent and varied, the service was friendly and efficient. We were lucky to have a room with a seaview which was wonderful. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Tremarne. The hospitality and cleanliness were first class. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival we were offered afternoon tea. We sat on the terrace enjoying our afternoon tea overlooking the Mevagissey Valley. The whole hotel is unbelievably pristine clean. We had a room overlooking the pool, gardens and the valley. There was an excellent selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the bedroom and a box of chocolates. We walked into Mevagissey town, which took 15-20mins. Such a pretty town. The hotel menu for evening meal looked excellent, but since we had walked into Mevagissey we thought we would try the local fish and chips. Delicious. Breakfast the following morning was excellent. Great choice and most locally sourced. Would have liked to have spent longer at the hotel, but we were booked to move on. Several guests were returning having spent previous breaks at the hotel. I would not hesitate in recommending the hotel. The hospitality and cleanliness were outstanding.

My wife and I were greeted by Tammy and her team. Professional front of house staff who couldn't do enough. Always with a smile. Outstanding chef who gave us a fine dining experience. As such, we never went out for an evening meal. Only comment we made to the owner was the answering of the phone at the reception desk which is a bit hit and miss. Highly recommended for those seeking a small family run business. It doesn't get much better.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights after lockdown in may.We were welcomed with so much joy by the owner of the hotel .The hotel was spotlessly clean .The corridors and stairs had one way system so we felt very safe.The breakfast was excellent as was the cream tea .We will definitely return for a second visit.

Arrived here on the 28th September 2020 for a 4 night stay.This hotel is nothing short of amazing!! From the moment you walk through the door to check in you feel relaxed and always greeted by a smiling face. Nothing is too much trouble for Tam, Wes and their team. Safety measures are in place making guests staying at the hotel a safe one, a one way system round the hotel, masks to be worn when walking through, hand sanitiser everywhere and screens between tables in the restaurant. Location of the hotel is perfect even with the one way system through the little fishing village of mevagissey which in my opinion should be in place all the time because while you are doing the detour you get to see the surrounding areas and discover new places.Food at the hotel well what can we say except try it everything from the Cornish cream tea on arrival, the breakfasts and the evening meals are all delicious but don’t just take my word for this make sure you try them. Plenty of options to choose from on both the breakfast and evening menu.Staff can’t do enough for you, since finding out I was pregnant back in May I’d been craving steak I don’t like them chargrilled and prefer them rare (can’t have them like this whilst pregnant) Wes cooked my steak to perfection it just melted in my mouth and exceeded my expectations.Views from the hotel are amazing looking over the bay into mevagissey and May I recommend you wake early just for one morning of your stay to catch a sunrise it was magical!

It was our second time staying here and this time we opted for the Portmellon Suite, which is really lovely and has fabulous views from the balcony. Although we had intended to eat out as before, we actually ate in every night, as the food that Wes produces is so delicious. As usual nothing is too much trouble for Tam and the Covid precautions were exemplary.

Meva is always are go to place, we have stayed at various places in the village over the years, but what can we say about The Tremarne. We had a wonderful welcome from Tam and cream tea ????, rooms are clean and bright with everything you could possibly need. Nothing was too much trouble for Tam, a perfect host. The food is amazing a fantastic choice for breakfast and all freshly cooked, the produce used is all local. Evening meals are fab,you will not be disappointed. From the minute we arrived we felt welcome, relaxed and safe. Wonderful complementary cream tea served on arrival which we enjoyed whilst sat in gardens. Rooms were beautiful with countryside and sea views and immaculately clean. Evening meal was amazing with good choice of locally sourced fish, meat and vegetables but make sure you leave room for the scrummy selection of desserts. I had the best nights sleep in the very comfy bed drifting off to the sound of the sea. Amazing, fresh breakfast choices. Tam and Wes may be one of the youngest couples I have met running a hotel but they are by far the best. So welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I was genuinely sad to be leaving after a fantastic 3 night stay and have already booked to stay again in a few weeks time. Thank you Tam and Wes for a truly amazing stay. I have found my new happy place xx

We had a great 5 night stay a lovely warm welcome and were offered a complimentary cream tea .Tamsin was so friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble .Room was very nice clean and comfortable and water and biscuits were replaced on several occasions .We thought the en suite was a little bit small Initiallybut actually we got used to it the shower was lovely and hot and it was all in good condition.The food was absolutely fantastic a wonderful choice beautifully presented and delicious , we ate at the hotel all 5 nights as it was so good .Great service in the restaurant both for dinner and at breakfast .All the staff were helpful efficient and friendly .We would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and family .

Tamsin was very welcoming, friendly and professional. Covid measures were very well thought out, with one way system in place, screens and hand sanitisers. The room was comfortable and had a view of the sea. Lovely bonus of a box of chocolates and a very tasty cream tea on arrival. After reading reviews I chose to book us in for dinner both nights, what a fantastic decision that was. The food was good quality, well cooked and presented and good value for money. Breakfast was also very enjoyable and could not be faulted. The team were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble.We thoroughly enjoyed the two nights we stayed and I would certainly look to make a return visit.

We stayed at the Tremarne Hotel for three nights in early October. Taz and Wes, the young couple who own and manage the hotel, were friendly and welcoming. Tazand her staff were brilliant and continually checked you had everything you wanted. Wes was the chef and offered a good selection for breakfast but the star turn was dinner, The dinner menu was short but changed every night and as good as any celebrity chef restaurant. We would normally like to try local restaurants after the first night but at Tremarne we had dinner there all three nights. There was a small but well stocked bar or you could have drinks served in the lounge. Taz and Wes has also addressed the safety requirements for preventing the spread of Covid 19. They had a one way system around the hotel (they have two staircases) and Perspex screens between tablesin the restaurant.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Tremarne Hotel. A perfect location to enjoy the delights of Mevagissey as well other places of interest on the Cornish South Coast such as The Eden Project, Fowey, Falmouth, Penzance & Lands End. The staff (Tamsin, Wes, Liselle & Lizzie) were all so friendly and welcoming and the food was outstanding. We look forward to returning and would highly recommend Tremarne Hotel to others!

For breakfast there is a great selection and the cooked option was presented to perfection. The evening meals were phenomenal, absolutely gorgeous and good value. Lovely bright, friendly hotel where there were a number of unexpected extras including a delicious cream tea on arrival and bottles of water which were replenished each day. The owners and staff were delightful and very welcoming. The food was excellent. In these strange Covid-19 times everything that could be done to safeguard their guests was done and so ensured that everyone felt safe. We hope to return in the not too distant future. Would certainly recommend.

What a great place to stay.Location is great, we stayed in room 15, which had a sea view and on suite. Very clean and well presented room. The staff were very welcoming, Tam (the owner) is a lovely lady, very hospitable and cannot do enough to make your stay the best it can be.Very friendly, easy to talk to, and very hard working.Food was great and very reasonably priced. All is pre booked , so when it’s preferred time to eat, the food is ready and hot. Breakfast was also very good with award winning local sausage. I would highly remand will come back next year.

We really enjoyed our 3 day break and our hosts were excellent. We also felt very safe there which is very important at present. The food, loads of variety at breakfast and a choice if you want a very good 2 or 3 course evening meal

Tam(sin) and Wes were superb and nothing was too much trouble for them despite having to cope with all the covid-19 restrictions, changes to which came in during our stay. They were, thankfully, sticklers for meeting these regulations!The hotel is wonderfully situated at about 10mins walk down to the harbour. Our room and all the public areas of the hotel were bright and light and beautifully clean.The food offered was of a high standard with adequate choice and beautifully presented.Tam and Wes's staff were also superb and did theirs tasks happily and we'll.Tam and Wes certainly know how present a happy and relaxing environment. We'd happily return and really hope they continue to succeed in these difficult times. They certainly deserve to!

Lovely hotel, Tamsin was a, very welcoming and nothing was a problem. Wesley was an excellent chef and we loved the dinner but especially the breakfasts. One small point was the standard room was a bit small for us so will book a larger room when we stay again

Excellent location to stay at Mevagissey. Super friendly host and staff ensure every part is easy, no hassle stay, with Covid measures handled very well. I would recommend staying here, the fish pie is excellent too.

This is our second stay at the beautiful Tremarne hotel in Mevagissey. The owners and staff are very friendly and have made every effort to ensure guests feel safe and comfortable post Covid-19 lockdown.The breakfast is delicious, hot and filling, setting the agenda for a good walk around the beautiful town, beaches and hills beyond. A wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting. We will be visiting again.

Would definitely recommend Tremarne. The owners/staff so welcoming and attentive. Place was spotlessly clean, food superb, situation brilliant. Quiet but local amenities less than 20 mins walk. A must stay for this part of the world.

we stayed here for the first time. A wonderful location with great views over the harbour. We ate dinner at the hotel which was first class and the breakfast too. The service was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble . Would def recommend this place to couples, families with children or anyone for that matter

Made to feel very welcome from first arrival to departure. Hotel was very clean, nice sized rooms, swimming pool, lounge and bar area plus outside sitting area. Hotel is at the top of the town so easy access to harbour. Dinner is also available in the evening. Very friendly owners who were available for advice. Greeted with a cream tea on arrival. Great location for lost gardens and Eden Project.

I can't praise this hotel enough- the staff are wonderful and go out of their way to ensure you have a enjoyable stay , so friendly and cheerful you feel like you are part of their family -the hotel is spotless especially during this covid periodyou feel so safe -our room was very comfortable, coffee, tea, water, biscuits refilled daily or when requested, iron and ironing board available fresh towels etc we were short of nothing.The pool area is clean and plenty of seating/loungers available .The food was outstanding and good value for money. The views from the hotel are glorious, with the sea at one side and countryside at the other, ideal location for coastal walks.The location is well situated with the town less than 5 minutes walk away and a 2 minute walk to the port , it is at the top of the hill as are most of the hotels in this area, but the walk is easily manageable ( not being an avid walker myself) the hotel also has ample parking spaces to accommodate their guests. This was our first UK holiday in years ( due to Covid ) and I can honestly say the experience we received staying here was wonderful- thank you to all the staff for a lovely warm welcome.

We received a warm welcome from Tam after a long fraught journey. A lovely position overlooking the sea. An ideal haven for a break.The warmth of the welcome and attitude to be helpful more than compensated for fairly basic accommodation. Excellent Covid precaution measures in place.wished we were staying longer to make use of the lovely swimming pool.

This is the best three star hotel we have stayed in. Everything from the staff, to the location, and the food was superb. The fact that it was our honeymoon hotel 45 years ago was icing on the cake.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the area. We had a very lean and nicely furnished room with a view of the sea.It's a small hotel with a very homely feel, however what makes this place super special is the host and the staff.Nothing is too much trouble, and it's all done with a huge smile and warmth.Hope this young couple continue to make this business a success!

You should be on Masterchef !!!Our room the Portmellon junior suite was everything we wanted it to be. Spacious, light and comfortable, the balcony was an extention of the room and the view ----beautiful.We will be coming again hopefully very soon. Really enjoyed our stay at the Tremarne Hotel. Lovely room over looking the sea, never had to ask for a replenishment of tea , coffee , milk etc everyday this was done by the staff , hotel very clean with a very good Covid sanitising programme in place, All of the staff were so helpful nothing was to much trouble and so friendly , service was first class , the food is of a very good quality as was the quantity. Breakfast is really good , my wife is a vegetarian she found both breakfast and evening meals were really good. The hotel has a nice bar ,very easy to get a beer.We had a wonderful few days in Cornwall as always we did not want to come home.

Had a wonderful week at the Tremarne right from a very warm welcome from Tamsin on arrival to a very friendly send off when we left.The rooms are delightful, each one different to the others, all very clean and warm with all the little extras that make it enjoyable, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is excellent.The care taken with all the extra Covid 19 precautions is second to none, can't recommend the Tremarne highly enough????

This is our 3rd time staying at the Tremarne, since Tam and Wes took over. Although we are still in a pandemic, Tam was her jovial sel, always willing to please and going all out for her guests, the evening meals as always are fantastic, Wes as usual did not disappoint. (Thank u Wes for the Hot Sauce). Social distancing was in place with two way system..Breakfast and Evening meals were well planned to avoid crowding, (well done Tam).Keep up the good work and get the rest you deserve in Decembet!!See you next year.

There is just one word for this hotel PERFECT. From the welcoming friendly staff, the room, the viw the food, the pool. I could not fault anything. Tamsin & Wesley certainly know the hospitality business.It's no wonder they get such good reviews.

We wanted to treat ourselves to a few nights on our own after a busy family s/c holiday and we weren't disappointed!The welcome was warm and friendly, our room was lovely and spotlessly clean and the new safety and hygiene arrangements were explained.We took advantage of having our full English cooked breakfasts delivered to our room each day ..... what a treat!The gardens are beautiful with a small swimming pool, loungers and different areas set out with patio furniture. The views are lovely too.We ate dinner there on each of the three nights and the food was exceptional especially the tempura-battered squid, chowder and (confession time!) the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream in a chocolate cup!The young couple go way beyond to run a lovely, friendly hotel and make you feel valued guests.So, choose it or lose the opportunity!

We thought the hotel was excellent and the food and the hospitality excellent. Unfortunately we could not give it 5 stars as for what we paid for a superior double room we thought the bathroom was not up to standard and the room was small.

We knew Tremarne from a short visit some years ago, when it was under a previous ownership, and enjoyed its welcoming atmosphere and lovely location then. It was great to see how Wes and Tammy have improved its facilities still more, while still keeping its friendly, intimate ambience. What they have also added is Wes’ amazing talent as a chef; the food was delicious! A lovely place for a break in Cornwall.

Amazing hotel, staff were so lovely and friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Social distancing was sorted really well with Covid-19 concerns. The facilities were brilliant, swimming pool, bar etc. I would 10000000% recommend and I will plan go go back.

After an amazing babymoon last year it was a no brainer for us to return to Tremarne again with our baby girl for her first holiday! We were made to feel so welcome right from arrival, the room was spotless and just perfect. We felt completely safe at all times with no compromise to their very personal customer service which we love. The food was unbelievable as usual! Thank you for the best stay, we only wish we could have stayed longer! An annual trip is a must!

From start to finish, our stay was made special by owners Tamsin and Wes. Tamsin looked after the accommodation side which was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, while Wes did the cooking which was to a brilliant standard. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful with excellent locally produced products and we also had two evening meals which were excellent, very tasty with good choices. We stayed in the junior suite which was very comfortable and bed was huge. Only downside, shower was in the bath which i struggle to get in and out of, but that is minor. Beautiful sea and countryside views from our own private balcony. Cannot wait to return in the future.

Spent 5 nights here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast well prepared and good selection. Hotel and rooms very clean. Very convenient for Mevagisey and surrounding area (if you know Meva there is currently a daytime Covid one way system up the very narrow hill which removes the stress of meeting a car coming the other way). We booked a standard room which I must say was very small and located right next to the pool so people tended to sit right outside our window on hot days which was a little disconcerting - hence only 4*.

We stayed for 4 nights in August and had a fab time. Hotel was excellent, customer service was outstanding, we could not have been happier with our choice of hotel. We ate at the hotel every night and really enjoyed all of the food including the complimentary cream tea????. The hotel is well positioned for a short walk to Mevagissey Harbour and to Chapel Point in the opposite direction where there is a quiet cove to enjoy.We spent a few afternoons in Portmellon watching the water activities which was lovely. We were blessed with excellent weather so we also spent a couple of lazy afternoons by the pool! We will definitely return to this hotel whenever we next plan a trip to Cornwall.

Very welcoming, friendly and professional hosts, felt so relaxed, very attentive. Amazing food and service, very clean and covid conscious without being demanding, easy to follow covid rules. Had a great time lounging, sunbathing, dip in the pool, eating, don't bother going out for food, eat in, great Seafood and Steak, drinking on the terrace and amazing coastal walks from the village and Hotel. Will be back!

Welcoming, helpful, and smiley staff on arrival and throughout my stay.Fresh light and neatly decorated hotel. Enjoyable and relaxed evening over supper with my sisters. Lovely full Cornish breakfast after early morning swim in hotel sunshine-filled swimming pool. Blessed with amazing weather.One small niggle as a non-smoke? Due to the amazing hot beautiful weather,I was delighted to swing open my bedroom window above the patio to allow the fresh country and sea air into my bedroom. However, cigarette smoke from guests below billowed up into my bedroom so I had to shut it for the duration.Otherwise highly recommended stay and I shall be back.

even though covid restrictions were in abundance , the short stay was extremely pleasant with all staff being friendly and welcoming. The room had all amenities and very comfortable with a beautiful view.Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We did not partake dinner so have no comments.Parking available and an inviting swimming pool. We will definitely return.

What a lovely one night stop over, from arriving at the hotel to leaving Tamsin did her upmost to accommodate us in every way. The chocolates in our room were much appreciated as were the biscuits and bottled water. The only thing I would like to point out and I am simply doing this so that no other guest will have the need to mention it, I was still eating my breakfast cereal and my cooked breakfast arrived, this can easily be rectified, other than that what a most wonderful experience.

Whole stay was excellent, food was superb, will definitely go again.

I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of this hotel from the comfort of our room, the views, the food and of course the charming hosts who cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable.

We had a perfect weekend away in this lovely hotel. It was very friendly, clean and the food was fabulous! Little touches such as chocolates and water bottles in the room, and cream tea on arrival were thoughtful touches.

Following our wedding in Cornwall we decided on 2 nights in Mevagissey and chose the Tremarne Hotel based uponreviews.We were not disappointed this is a lovely clean recently refurbished hotel.Wesley and Tamsin, made us most welcome from the moment we arrived and Tamsin, knowing we had just got married, went out of her way to make our stay special and we are both very grateful for her thoughtfulness and attention to detail. She could not have been more accommodating and everything was done with a smile. The hotel is in a lovely location about 10 minute walk to Mevagissey but down a steep hill but the views on the way are stunning.You can also walk the otherway to a nearby pub, 5his is only 6 minutes away. The hotel garden and pool is very nice too and everywhere is kept so cleanand tidy. The coped with Covid restrictions extremely well and despite one way systems and screens between dinners, we hardly noticed any difference,our stay was perfect and we shall return, probably for our 1st anniversarynext year.

This was our first post COVID-19 hotel break and prior to arrival we were emailed some clear and sensible instructions to ease our checking in. On arrival we were met and had all the “new rules” explained to us, for example the one way system around the hotel, and, to be honest, they were sensible, unobtrusive and enabled the hotel staff to maintain the high standards they have clearly developed over the years. Our room (No 1) had a lovely sea view and was immaculate and well presented. All the usual facilities were on hand and the small box of chocolates and complimentary team tea on arrival were both unexpected and very welcome! Very comfortable bed and the bathroom was bright, airy and clean. In line with the new rules, breakfast is pre-ordered and the dining room is set up with clear screens that allow guests to converse if they wish. The food was outstanding, plentiful and the menu varied. The staff were attentive and the service was excellent. We were able to skip lunch due to the amount we ate at breakfast! They also offer an evening dining service which we did not use but the menu looked enticing and good value. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and the Hotel management and staff have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making the guests welcome and safe whilst adapting to the “new normal”. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a short break and the staff should be congratulated on their efforts which are clearly working.

We had a short break at the hotel following Covid 19 Lockdown. Every precaution had been taken by the hotel to be Covid 19 compliant,including amongst other things, screens between tables in the dining room. The staff were very attentive and friendly. There was a good choice of menu & the food was excellent.

My wife and I had excellent service , friendly and caring staff looked after our every need.We had 3 evening meals, which were all excellent.Nothing was too much trouble.

Wesley and Tamsin are superb hosts; welcoming, friendly, helpful and always professional. What is very noticeable about their establishment is the cleanliness and quality of the accommodation. What shines above everything though is the food. Chef Wesley is a pro! Absolutely delicious and well presented dishes with a variable menu. We cannot praise the Tremarne Hotel enough.

We went to Tremarne Hotel after the re-opening in July 2020 (after Covid closure): amazing place in a characteristic spot of the cornish coast. The Staff and the measures for the re-opening were amazing with minimized contact and booking times for breakfast. An amazing effort by the whole staff!

From the warm welcome to the high standard of the rooms and food, The Tremarne Hotel exceeded our espectations in every way.we stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and had a lovely sea view. The breakfast and evening meals were of a high standard cooked to order. The rooms are quiet and the Hotel itself is perfectly located for exploring south Cornwall. We would definetely stay again.

The minute we walked through the door to be greeted by one of the owners, Tamsin, we felt welcome and as if we were in our own house.The room was tastefully decorated and very clean.There was a Samsung TV, kettle, a good selection of teas, coffees and some sachets of hot chocolate and biscuits.The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows.We had planned to have our first evening meal in the hotel and then for a few nights at least, to sample other venues in Mevagissy.However, the food was so good we thought, 'What's the point?' and so we dined at the Tremarne every night.The menu is small but covers most tastes and Wes (Tamsin's husband) the chef was only too glad to cater to Denise (my wife's) lactose intolerance with changes to the dishes.You would have to go a long way to better the food, the accommodation, the friendly staff and the service at this hotel and we highly commend it.

Tamsin and Wes provided a wonderful home from home experience during our short stay at The Tremarne Hotel.As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome and the hotel throughout all areas is kept spotless, with a fresh decor throughout.We stayed in a standard double and even though there was no bath, the power shower always had piping hot water.The beds were extremely comfortable and it was quite hard to get up in the morning to do some sightseeing.The choice of breakfast was very extensive, from continental to a "proper job" Cornish or vegetarian fully cooked.This is not the place to stay if you are watching your weight, Wes is an excellent chef and conjured up some delicious 3 course evening meals.Great location at top of hill with short walk down into Mevagissey, much needed after all that irresistible food!It is also a short walk to the coastal path, so we hardly used our car.If ever we are in the Mevagissey area again, Tremarne Hotel will be the only place we would like to stay again.

Tasman & Wes were very welcoming nothing was too much trouble Wes even cooked us a special dinner! The room was very comfortable and spotless clean Tasman kindly upgraded the room the views from the balcony were beautiful. We will definitely return.

Excellent breakfast. lovely lounge, bar and dining room.Evening meals cooked to order by Wes - chef - top quality, on site was great bonus.Owners very attentive and helpful. Easy to relate to, nothing was a problem for them.Beautiful position to walk down into Mevagissy. Lots of cafes and great working harbour. We enjoyed trips to Lost gardens of Heligan and china clay Museum nr. St Austel. Went to Chapel at The Haven in Gorran Haven, boat shaped pulpit, lift to upper floor, facilities for children and babies.Would definitely stay again.

Tam and wes perfect hosts.From the moment we stepped in we were made realy welcome and shown to room its all light and very clean and very quiet.We did not go out to eat because the food there is excellent.Tam and Wes a Big thankyou.

Wonderful friendly host, Tamsin made our stay perfect. The extra touches really made it special, complimentary cream tea, chocolates on the bed and lovely toiletries. Breakfast was brilliant, perfectly cooked and served in the restaurant with lovely views. Standard room was small but very cosy, lovely comfy bed overlooking the swimming pool. Everything was spotless and beautifully decorated. Would strongly recommend and when we stay again we will eat in the restaurant as it looked fantastic.Great value all round. We had a lovely stay , the staff couldn’t have been more helpful . Hotel was clean light and airy . Food was delicious. We had all we needed and more , chocs on the bed on arrival it was valentines and a lovely cream tea magic .

Tam and Wes made us feel extremely welcome in their hotel which felt more like their home! Nothing was too much trouble, the evening menu was tailored to account for an allergy breakfast was superb. I cannot fault the hotel for cleanliness helpful and polite staff and engaging and genuine hosts.....we will be back.

We stayed a couple of nights here. We had a very warm welcome from Tamsin, the owner, who upgraded our room at no charge. We were given a welcoming cream tea and it being Cornwall, we put the jam on first! The room was very clean and comfortable. Tamsin and Wesley went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included and had a varied choice. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again.

Faultless hospitality from delightful hosts, in clean, comfortable surroundings. All food: from welcome cream tea, to breakfast, to the several different meals we enjoyed, were beautifully presented and delicious. Lovely ten minute walk into Mevagissey. We will be recommending! Thank you.

We stayed for the night at this wonderful hotel. The whole stay was faultless. Lovely welcome, box of chocs in the clean, fresh room and what would have been great views of the sea but for the weather!, excellent food for both dinner and breakfast.Highly recommend and we shall be back when the sun is out.

Spent 2 nights here whilst working locally. My intention was to eat in Mevagissey but glad I ate here. Food was excellent both evenings and very good value for money.

We enjoyed four days here and were made most welcome, we were given a larger room at no extra charge. Tamsin was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, the room was always clean, the bed was comfortable and the food was delicious. The views were good although the sea was side on, it was also very peaceful. The drive up to the hotel was 'interesting' as the road was no wider than our car but this is the same in most Cornish villages which adds to the charm.Thank you Tamsin for a most enjoyable break.

What a find! A very warm welcome, a large and very comfortable room with views to die for.We had two excellent breakfasts ( you have to try the scrambled egg wrapped in smoke salmon ) and one evening meal. A very quiet location so undisturbed sleeps. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again.

We have been staying in mevagissey for some 30 years and this is by far one of the best places we have stayed in. We were met on arrival by Tam who gave us a most fantastic welcome. The hotel was beautiful, clean and homely. We had an excellent night in the bar with Wes and delicious Cornish breakfast in the morning. This was the first time we stayed here and it will definitely not be the last. We fully recommend this hotell.

We loved our short stay at Tremarne. It totally exceeded our expectations with a lovely welcome from Tam. Their hospitality is fantastic & we felt like family. Great views from our comfortable room & everything in the hotel was clean and brightly decorated. The food is outstanding & even the cream tea was suitable for a gluten-free diet. We highly recommend this lovely hotel & hope to be back again.

We needed accommodation as I was singing at the inaugural Mevagissey Sea Shanty festival. We chose The Tremarne based upon reviews and they were not wrong. Hugely welcoming and friendly. Great location and a "proper" piping hot breakfast with real meaty sausages. The only suggestion to improve things would be to get rid of single use plastics - water bottles, yogurts pots, marmalade etc.

Very comfortable, made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. Great food with very good choice. Beautifully clean hotel.

My husband and I have been very fortunate to have travel the world and have stayed in many 5* luxury hotels.But I cannot stress enough how wonderful and welcoming the Tremarne Hotel is.As stated in their description their hospitality, cuisine and location is outstanding.Many thanks for a great stay we will definitely be back.

From reception to departure there was friendly and courteous service. The facilities were of a very good standard and dinner was excellent every evening with a varied menu. Thoroughly recommended!

From the first step into the Tremarne Hotel we were greeted by the lovely owner Tam, lovely clean, beautifully decorated guest lounge , dining room, bar and bedrooms, love the little touches the home made cream teas , you are made to feel at home.I would highly recommend this family run hotel, Wes the chef owner and his menus are the best place to eat in Mevagissey.Already trying to plan our next trip

We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and shown to our room. We booked a standard double which was super clean and there were some lovely touches like toiletries, bottles of water, chocolates and a complimentary cream tea. Breakfast was fab and beautifully cooked. A real gem of a hotel run by a lovely couple. Would definitely recommend. We cant wait to return!

Lovely hotel. Very clean and nicely decorated. Warm welcome. Nice bedroom with a coastal view. Great breakfast with lots of choice. 10 minute scenic walk into Mevagissey. Would definitely return.

Rooms are quite comfortable and nicely decorated. The meals are exquisite. And most importantly, the owners are extremely helpful and friendly.

Took my wife to stay for 2.nights for her 60th Birthday. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for Tam... she provided a warm friendly environment & Wes provided the most delicious 1st class food!Our room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated & very comfortable.I recommend this superb hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing and top quality stay.

My second visit to Tremarne. Another fantastic stay - peaceful relaxing environment, beautiful views, clean well equipped rooms. And thank you for the upgrade on arrival. Lots of nice touches in the room. Fabulous location for walking to Mevagissey or if a more seasoned walker onto the the lovely secluded beach 30 mins away (steep decent) plenty of interest to drive to. We felt totally refreshed & rejuvenated. Thank you
